– Robust aroma of dried red chilli powder – Tinge of yellow/orange.
– Light mouthfeel – Did not feel too greasy or oily on the palate. – Crisp and felt fresh, owing to this texture. – Desirable blend of sweet and spice. – But this isn’t a flavor you would want to pick up regularly as a swap for your masala puffs.

– Most dominant aroma was that of dry ginger. – Pungent and robust, we missed the garlic, chilli notes that Chinese dishes are known for.
– These baked puffs had a texture and crunch similar to the first variant. – As for the flavor, this was just dominant on the pungent warmth of ginger. – The spice was too mild. – Lacks typical flavors like garlic, chilli, or soy.
We quite liked the crunch these puffs had, but the flavors (although true to their tags) aren’t additive. Unlike the original masala puffs, these aren’t something we could eat more than 2-3 bites of.
