Mishry Rating
Summary
Unfortunately, these popcorn lack a pronounced crunch which brought down the overall rating. The above rating is for the butter popcorn which was the best among all three flavors we tested.
A good tub of popcorn is just what a movie needs, apart from the action, drama, and foot-tapping music, don’t you agree?
We’ve tried three popcorn flavors by The Theatre Project – butter, cheddar cheese, and piri piri & lime. We have tested them on two main parameters – taste and texture.
The Theatre Project Popcorn Review covers all you need to know about the flavors, crunch, price, packaging, and more.
Our Review Factors
What are we looking for? We are looking for fresh, crunchy popcorn with well-balanced saltiness and a pleasant flavor.
1. Flavor
How well rounded is the flavor of these popcorn? Is it fresh or is there an artificial aftertaste? Does the flavor profile accurately reflect the product description?
2. Crunch
Nobody loves a bowl of soggy popcorn. We were looking for popcorn that is non-greasy to touch and delivers a satisfying crunch.
The combined attributes of flavor and texture are indicative of the popcorn’s freshness and overall quality.
3. Other Factors
In this subsection, we examine additional factors including cost, packaging details, product shelf life and ingredient list.

The Theatre Popcorn Flavors– Detailed Review
1. Movie Theatre Butter
Our Experience
The aroma of this popcorn was not very pleasing. Instead of the enticing aroma of buttery popcorn, it carried a more subdued, milky aroma. These popcorn were notably crispier than the other variants, but the crunch was still lower than average.
While the butter flavor was present and had some freshness to it, it was not very addictive. The salt levels were balanced.

2. Piri Piri and Lime
Our Experience
The Piri Piri & Lime popcorn have a pleasant aroma that is undoubtedly enticing. These popcorns have a satisfying and desirable piri piri flavor that is one of the factors we appreciate.
Despite the pleasant flavor, the lack of crunch was a significant letdown.

If you love mildly spiced popcorns, you can try this variant.
3. Cheddar Cheese
Our Experience
The Cheddar Cheese popcorn was the least favorite of the lot. Appearance-wise, the popcorns had a slightly peachy-orange cheese powder coating. It had an off-putting aroma that did not smell pleasant.
The flavor of this cheese flavored popcorn leaned more towards the sweeter side. It lacked the salty-cheesy punch. The absence of a crunchy texture is a major drawback, as it’s a fundamental characteristic of popcorn.
We certainly do not recommend this flavor for the lack of crunch and aroma.
