GOOD!
Summary
While the noodles are thick and long, it falls short in terms of the texture and overall quality. The ramen’s standout feature is its flavorful broth and well-executed spice level that makes it a decent contender for spice lovers.
The generous use of meats, broths, veggies, and noodles characterizes a good bowl of Korean ramen. We reviewed Knorr’s Korean Ramen in Spicy Kimchi flavor, to see how well it delivers on flavor and texture of the noodles.
While the bold spice levels certainly pack a punch, the noodle quality leaves something to be desired. Let’s break down all the details of the flavors, textures, and overall appeal of this instant ramen by Knorr.

How did we make these noodles?
- We boiled 3 cups of water in a pan and added veggies and noodles to cook for 5 mins.
- Turn off the gas and add kimchi seasoning and mix well.
- You can add tofu, fresh kimchi and sesame seeds to it (we however did not add these).
Our Verdict
Appearance-wise, the noodles have a light yellow hue and a thick width. These are not the thin and slurpy kind of noodles we usually eat when we think of instant ramen.
The noodles are quite long, but also very thick. Instead of a pleasant springy bite, the texture leans more towards a chewy consistency, which isn’t very appealing.
The following observations were seen when we tasted these noodles:
- Broth: The broth offered a surprisingly agreeable taste profile that would appeal to Indian taste palates. There is no unpleasant aftertaste.
- Spice Level: The heat is bold and high, delivering a well-rounded medium-level spice that enhances the flavor. The spiciness neither overwhelms your palate nor disappoints by being too mild.
- Overall Experience: The veggies in this ramen rehydrated well, though they did not significantly enhance the overall review experience. The highlight here is the spicy kimchi flavor, which tasted quite decent and satisfying — especially when compared to Knorr’s Korean Jjajangmyeon Ramen Noodle Meal Pot we previously reviewed.
- For spice lovers, this dish is a must-try. However, if you have a low tolerance for spicy food, proceed with caution. The heat builds gradually with each bite, and while the first couple of bites might seem manageable, it may quickly become intense.
What impacted our experience of The Korean Noodle Meal Pot we reviewed earlier? The overcooked noodles, low broth levels, and lastly the flavors get overwhelming after a few bites.
- Well rounded spice levels
- The veggies have rehydrated well
- Fairly decent spicy Kimchi flavor
- Convenient to prepare
- The veggies lack freshness
- Also, the quality of the noodles has room for improvement.
This veg meal will provide a satisfying and flavorful ramen experience that will be enjoyed by spice lovers.

Final Words
Overall, this Korean Ramen Spicy Kimchi Veg Meal is a good product. However, there are certain aspects that prevent it from earning a perfect score. Firstly, the rehydrated veggies lack the fresh taste one would expect. Additionally, there’s a mild oily aftertaste that lingers on the palate. While the ramen boasts an ample noodle-to-broth ratio, the quality of the noodles was not up to the mark. The noodles are long enough, but their texture is more chewy than springy, which may not appeal to everyone.
Despite these shortcomings, the broth itself is flavorful, and the spice level is well-balanced, making it an enjoyable meal for those who appreciate a bit of heat.
