Here’s an overview of our review process for testing Veeba Wok Tok Noodles in Spicy Korean and Masala flavors:

1. Spicy Korean

Priced at ₹79, the noodles come in a 92.5 g pack with a shelf life of 9 months. The packaging features a sturdy black cup with a secure plastic lid. It also includes drainage holes for convenient removal of excess water. 

Main Ingredients 

• Instant noodles: Semolina, Wheat flour (Atta), Rice bran oil, Iodised salt, Wheat gluten, Acidity regulator (INS500(ii)), Texturiser (INS451(i)) and thickener (INS412)
• Dried vegetable mix: Carrot (46%), Cabbage (46%), and Leeks (8%). 
• Masala sauce: Water, Garlic, Soybean sauce [Water, soybean, wheat, iodised salt, acidity regulator (INS260), Flavor enhancers (iNS627, INS631), and preservative (INS202)], Refined soybean oil, Sugar, Tomato paste, Dehydrated chillies, Flavors (Natural and nature-identical flavoring substances (spicy korean)), Sesame seeds, Ginger, Iodised salt, Acidity regulator (INS260), Stabiliser (INS415) and Preservative (INS 211). 

Per 92.5 gm serve, these noodles contain 355.51 kcal of energy, 6.83 gm of protein, 5.55 gm of added sugar, 16.73 gm of total fat and 860.25 mg of sodium. 

Our Experience 

First things first, the sauce-to-noodle ratio is spot on. Each bite is well-coated with just the right amount of flavor without overwhelming the taste of the noodles. The heat level is high and delivers well on the authentic Korean spicy kick that is bold and satisfying. 

The smokiness of the chili adds a depth of flavor, while the garlic comes through clearly, balancing the spice with a savory richness. 

Texture-wise, however, the noodles have some room for improvement. They ended up slightly soggy for our liking. It lacked the ideal texture that would have complemented the sauce better.

2. Masala

Price + Packaging 

This 92.5 g pack of noodles is priced at ₹59 and has a 9-month shelf life. It comes in a sturdy yellow cup with a plastic lid that includes drainage holes for added convenience.

• Masala sauce: Water, Liquid glucose, Refined soyabean oil, Iodised salt, Spices and condiments, Cooking butter, Sugar, Dehydrated garlic, Dehydrated onion Acidity regulator (INS260), Natural flavoring substances, Flavor enhancer (ISN635), Stabiliser (ISN415), and Preservative (INS211). 

Each 92.5 g serving of these noodles provides 363.29 kcal of energy, 6.35 g of protein, 8.49 g of added sugar, 17.33 g of total fat, and 1115.25 mg of sodium.

Our Experience 

These noodles have a pleasant and well-rounded desi masala flavor that feels comforting. Appearance-wise these are yellow in color and have noticeable crunchy bits of onion and carrot. The masala seasoning is well-balanced, with a blend of spices that’s bold but not overwhelming. 

In terms of texture, the noodles are similar to the above variant and has room for improvement. Considering the fact that these are crafted with a blend of semolina and atta and devoid of maida, we have still rated them a 4 on 5 on texture as it is not easy to create no-maida noodles.
