We selected to order the mid-segment (portion size) of classic masala chai from both the tea joints. We placed our orders via Zomato simultaneously for both and carefully assessed the following points:

Chaayos
There are multiple ordering channels for ordering the masala chai from Chaayos. The brand offers a wide network of physical stores across India allowing customers to enjoy tea in a comfortable ambience.
Chaayos also has a dedicated mobile app that provides an easy and convenient way to place orders for pick-up and delivery. Additionally, they also have tie up with food delivery platforms including Zomato and Swiggy.
Chai Point
Chai Point has several cafe-style outlets located in major cities in India. They also offer a dedicated mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms. Plus, you can also place orders via the official website of Chai Point.
2. Customization Options
Chaayos
Chaayos offers a range of customization options, making it a preferred choice among consumers. You can customize your chai at Chaayos based on the following:
- Sugar level
- Milk preferences
- Intensity of the chai patti
Chai Point
Chai Point on the other hand does not offer customization options. But you can avail a number of add-ons while placing your chai orders.
3. Order Accuracy and Delivery Time
We ordered the masala chai from both brands at the same time. Both of them arrived almost simultaneously. The masala chai from both the brand was delivered correctly without any errors, spills etc.
To conclude, both Chaayos and Chai Point performed well in terms of order accuracy and delivery time. They successfully delivered hot and fresh masala chai.

4. Packaging
When it comes to the packaging, both the brands were at par.
Chaayos
Outer Pack: The masala chai ordered via Chaayos arrived in a mini kettle-like flask. The flask is short in size and broad in width. The kettle box has an opening on the left hand corner which makes it convenient to pour the warm tea.
Tea Cup Size: The order also included 4 green colored cups and two sachets of sugar. Broader cups with wide base.
2 stirrers and sugar sachets were also sent.
Chai Point
Outer Pack: The miniflask masala chai we ordered from Chai Point also had a kettle-like cardboard box. This flask was narrower and taller compared to the one arrived by Chaayos.
Tea Cup Size: This also included 5 cups with the name of the brand embossed on it. Stirrers, sugar sachets and paper napkins were sent along as well.
5. Appearance
Chaayos
Chaayos Masala Chai was slightly dark in appearance.
Chai Point
The masala chai from Chai Point was slightly light in color as compared to Chaayos.
Do note that the difference in appearance does not affect the taste of the chai in any way.
6. Taste
Chaayos
The masala chai that arrived from Chaayos already had sugar in it. The chai was well brewed and has a prominent flavor of cardamom and cloves. The chai was milky as well and had a nice creaminess. All in all this is a nice masala chai that is aromatic, well-brewed, and focuses on the masalas without being excessively sweet. Perfect for a cool evening.
Chai Point
The masala chai from Chai point had no sugar added in it.
The flavor of this masala chai was pleasant too. This has a pronounced flavor of ginger which makes it ideal for those who love a strong ginger-flavored tea. Followed by ginger, it showcases a nice flavor of elaichi as well. However, this was much more milkier and creamier than Chaayos.
7. Delivery Fees
Both Chaayos and Chai Point included GST, restaurant charges, and applicable coupon codes in their delivery fees. For Chaayos, we were able to use a restaurant coupon code to receive a discount. However, no delivery coupon code was available for Chai Point. The base price for both has been mentioned above.

Among the two contenders we preferred the Chaayos Masala Chai over the Chai Point’s Masala Chai. Why so?
1. Customization
While taste-wise we had no complaints with both these chai, Chaayos primary advantage lies in the high customization options it provides.
This makes it more suitable and preferable for a wide audience allowing them to tweak their chai as per their likeability. Whether you prefer your chai extra sweet, less milky, or with a specific blend of spices, Chaayos offer the flexibility to create your ideal cup.
2. Price Point
Price-wise, there is not much difference between the two. They offer similar pricing for their masala chai. Infact Chai Point provides 500 ml of tea while Chaayos offers 400 ml.
3. Delivery Experience
Both brands delivered their masala chai hot and fresh, ensuring a satisfying customer experience. Thumbs up for both brands on this.
