#FirstImpressions Of Fackelmann’s 3-Ply Saucepan With SS Lid
Though stainless steel cookware is expensive as compared to regular aluminum or hindalium pots and pans, recent studies have suggested that it is a better metal to be used for cookware. But with aluminum being amongst the best conductors of heat, most stainless steel utensils now use a layer of aluminum between two layers of stainless steel – making the base heavy, but also giving it even heat distribution. The presence of three layers is also why many of these are called TRI-ply or 3 Ply pans/kadhais.
We cooked with Fackelmann’s 3-Ply Saucepan over 4 weeks in our test kitchen. Our experience was nothing short of spectacular.
Fackelmann’s 3-Ply Saucepan is a heavy-bottomed pan, and the size we picked is good for multiple things. We boiled milk in it, used it to make soups, cooked rice in it and also used it for sautéing vegetables and meats.
Across all types of cooking, Fackelmann’s 3-ply Saucepan provided even cooking. The handle is sturdy and does not heat up. This is an important safety feature and many stainless steel pans/utensils have handles that cannot withstand prolonged cooking, making the handle hot to touch. This does not happen with Fackelmann’s 3-ply Saucepan.
It is easy to keep it clean, we washed Fackelmann’s 3-ply Saucepan with a soft sponge and regular liquid washing gel to remove spots and stains if any.
