When we talk about kitchen appliances, Wonderchef, an Indian brand backed by celebrity Chef and Restaurateur Sanjeev Kapoor, comes to mind pretty quickly. For over a decade now, Wonderchef is known for introducing the latest trends in cookware, serve ware and appliances fit for the Indian kitchen. With stainless steel cookware becoming more and more popular, primarily due to health and durability reasons, Wonderchef too has come out with its range of stainless steel cookware – including frying pans, woks, and cookers – to add to their already long list of products. We got hold of the Wonderchef Stanton fry-pan, cooked with it for over 5 weeks in our test kitchen and this is what we found.

#FirstImpressions Of Wonderchef’s Stanton Fry Pan
We used the Wonderchef’s Stanton Fry Pan for over 5 weeks in our test kitchen. We used it to deep fry aloo tikkis, falafels, and cheese-corn balls. We used it to shallow fry cutlets and tikkas. We used it to lightly brown toasts and burger buns. We also used it to make ready-to-eat poha one of the days. Basically, we used it extensively and found that it is amongst the Best Stainless Steel Frying Pans available today.
Wonderchef’s Stanton Fry Pan has a heavy base, this ensures that even when you are using little oil, the food does not.
There is always a worry that stainless steel frying pans can start looking stained and browned very quickly. No such thing was noticed during the 5+ weeks that we used the pan for. Continuous frying, as done during parties etc when you fry snacks in phases, makes the edges brown a bit, but we found that these were very easily washed out. We didn’t feel the need to put in a great deal of effort to scrub them out. We used a simple, soft scrub pad. for washing the pan after every use.
Lastly, the handle is solid and does not heat up even after prolonged frying. This feature is very important when it comes to stainless steel fry pans. We found during our extensive research of the best frying pans that handles in a few pans get hot pretty quickly upon use. This is a major safety issue, we feel. The handle of Wonderchef’s Stanton Fry Pan showed no signs of heating up and was cool to touch even after extensive frying.
Overall, we found Wonderchef’s Stanton Fry Pan to be high on quality and features and would recommend this to anyone looking for a heavy-base stainless steel frying pan.
