We were careful not to overload the grilled sandwiches as fillings tend to ooze out with the pressure of the grill plates and that doesn’t usually make for a good sandwich eating experience.

The Harvest Gold Subz Footlong Bun – Cheese Oregano is soft and has a light sponginess to it. It doesn’t crumble when we slice it.
The Harvest Gold Subz Footlong Bun – Cheese Oregano has fresh and robust oregano & cheese aroma and taste. The hint of oregano in the footlong bun, even when turned into a basic tomato and cheese sub, adds a fresh layer of taste. We definitely loved that!
Chances are that people would eat them as open ‘pizzas’, or halves of sandwiches with their favorite filling inside. Footlong buns should be able to hold onto lots of filling and not break, crumble or come apart. There was no breaking experienced by us with either of the footlongs.
What happened when we grilled them? The outer bread layer became crisp and toasty and the insides remained soft while retaining the taste and aroma of the cheese & oregano.
