Our Review Factors
What Is Our Main Focus? Fresh tasting chutneys with a homestyle taste and texture.
1. Taste
Let’s be honest! When it comes to instant chutneys, achieving the perfect replica of homemade flavors might be difficult. However, we look for flavors that closely resemble the fresh version, as this helps the product achieve a better rating.
For the tomato chutney we are looking at a balance of flavors – tangy and spicy. While the peanut chutney should have a rich and nutty flavor of peanuts.
In addition, the overall seasoning balance and freshness were also gauged.
2. Texture
How is the consistency of these chutneys? Smooth or chunky?
3. Convenience
Are these chutneys ready to use straight from the pack? Or do they require any additional preparation before serving? How convenient and easy is the chutney to use?
4. Other Aspects
We also noted information on these secondary factors:
- Packaging : Is the packaging easy to open and reseal?
- Storage & Shelf Life : For how does the chutney stay fresh once opened? Does it require any refrigeration after opening?
- Pricing : Does the taste, texture and overall convenience make these a viable and value for money option to buy?
