The chocolate spread category is full of popular and now more so, new brands. In our mix of old and new brands, we wanted to find a balance of both taste and health. We feel LISO Cocoa Spread provides the best balance of both amongst all brands reviewed.

LISO Cocoa Spread has a smooth, creamy consistency. It tasted good by itself, and also in between two slices of regular white bread.

It is a well-known fact now that Palm Oil is used across the world in commercial, packaged foods, as it is cheaper and remains in solid form at room temperature. Palm Oil is very high in Saturated Fats, a fact that has growing concerns around the world., yet most brands continue to still use it. LISO Cocoa Spread Sunflower Oil, instead. A better oil, that is metabolized in the body better.

Our Review Process

Most kids would love a simple chocolate spread sandwich on a daily basis. And these spreads do provide a convenient and easy snacking option. We believe at Mishry, that everyone should be aware of what ingredients go into making each packaged food because the choice of ingredients ultimately determines the quality of the product. Kids are the most likely users of chocolate spreads, and while their young and active bodies may not need to worry about saturated fats, we should give them healthier options as much as possible. So our review for the BEST CHOCOLATE SPREADS was about finding the right balance of flavor, that would appeal to both kids and adults, and also the best and cleanest nutrition label.

How We Picked Our Brands

Whether the product is cheap of a slightly above average price range, all we were looking for in our brands was their quality and flavor. Famous chocolate spread such as Nutella comes infused with other dry-fruits such as hazelnut, thus we chose to not involve these brands on our review process and chose those whose product is just a cocoa-rich buttery spread. Quality was the other half of our selection process.

Who Is It For?

Chocolate spread is the best way for you to get that chocolaty-goodness to your meal, it works well with bread, waffles, pancakes, and even on a leftover chapati. Moreover, even though it looks like chocolate and tastes exactly like one, it does not solidify, thus that melted chocolaty texture is what it is famous for adding to your meal.

Anyone who enjoys chocolate spread often could look at this list for options.

Tasting Process- Our Parameters

The basic taste test involved two different steps. For the first one, we individually tasted a spoonful of each of these products, and as for the second, we tasted them after spreading them over bread. In the case of this review, this [rocess was repeated multiple times. We also read their nutrition label in detail, to check for values of energy, the type of oil used, etc. The parameters that we used for reviewing our picks are listed below:

Cocoa Taste: Cocoa has a somewhat mixture of bitter and sweet tastes, both of which are quite hard to balance. And depending upon the concentration of cocoa in the product, it can be either of the two. We were looking for the tastiest and most flavorful spread that had the richest cocoa experience.

Texture: How a spread runs over the surface of bread tells you a lot about easy it is going to be. A spread should evenly spread over the surface.

Ingredients: Though chocolate spread could hardly be your first choice of spread if you are looking for something healthy, still it is important to take its nutritional content and ingredients into consideration.

The Result Of Our Taste Test

LISO Cocoa Spread with Belgian cocoa emerged as the top pick for our taste test. It was rich with that bitter-sweet cocoa flavor and had a consistent texture. In addition to that, it has a milky and buttery infused taste that blended perfectly with the doughy taste of bread. With absolutely no use of palm oil, this product also showed a cleaner list of ingredients.
