#FirstImpressions Of Chokhi Dhani Moong Dal Halwa (Ready To Eat)

Chokhi Dhani Moong Dal Halwa is a complete letdown. Here’s why:

The halwa doesn’t live up to expectations upon heating. It’s dry and lumpy. You know when you pull out yesterday’s halwa from the fridge, and the halwa doesn’t seem fresh anymore? Chokhi Dhani Moong Dal Halwa looks stale and very, very unappetizing.

Taste Test: Chokhi Dhani Moong Dal Halwa (Ready To Eat)
It’s dry and lumpy.

Not too many dry fruits here, we spotted an odd kaju and kishmish somewhere between the lumps. But the thing that is most off-putting is a weird aroma coming from the halwa. Its a sour, stale-ghee kind of smell, that is quite offensive. In fact, the aftertaste is strange too. We checked if the product was nearing its expiry date and to confirm if that’s why the product was tasting bad. But that wasn’t the case.

The smell and taste completely ruin the overall experience, even if you were to ignore what it looks like.

A big thumbs-down to this product.
