Green Coffee has been popular recently for its health benefits including weight loss. Being low on roasted and high on unroasted green coffee beans, this green coffee mix by Saffola Fittify contains over 3 times more anti-oxidants as compared to regular coffee, which is responsible for its beneficial properties.

#FirstImpressions Of Saffola Fittify Green Coffee Instant Beverage Mix

At the outset, let’s just say that Green Coffee Beans and Green Coffee have been quite popular over the last few years. It’s a premium product thats now gaining mass acceptance.

We picked the Classic Strong flavor in order to see how ‘coffee’ like this really tastes. A few other brands of Green Coffee available in the market are often too sweet and are more vanilla-like in their taste than coffee.

Saffola Fittify Classic Strong Green Coffee tastes good. It is mildly sweet and when we consumed it hot, it tasted good.

However, the presence of Maltodextrin raises a few alarm bells for us. We wonder why a product that calls itself healthy and claims to control blood sugar levels has Maltodextrin as an ingredient?

For those who don’t know, Maltodextrin is used in processed foods as a thickener or to increase the shelf life. Sometimes it is also added as a sweetener. It has a high Glycemic Index, which means it could lead to blood sugar spikes in your body. Its usually used in very small quantities though, (we don’t know the % of Maltodextrin in Saffola Fittify as the packaging does not disclose this), so the carbohydrate content of maltodextrin should usually not make a difference to your calorie intake.

“Hidden sugars are disguised as healthy with different names given to them in the most processed food. We must always read ingredients and make careful food choices.
A highly processed food additive will not help metabolism or weight loss and is not advised for diabetics.
Green coffee or black coffee is a superfood only if it’s not blended with preservatives additives and hidden processed sugars that will give sugar spikes.”
