Parle Milano and Sunfeast Dark Fantasy are getting rave reviews in the chocolate-filled cookie category. We tasted them both, compared their texture and flavor to arrive at our top pick for the Yummiest Chocolate Filled Biscuit.

Without a doubt, Dark Fantasy Choco Fills by Sunfeast is a better tasting choco-filled cookie, according to me. The brand packaging calls it a biscuit*, though, but whatever you choose to call it, taste-wise, texture-wise and overall experience-wise – Dark Fantasy is miles ahead. *(A cookie can be heavier than a biscuit due to the choice of ingredients used. In the US, a cookie can be both a biscuit or a creme filled cookie. While in the UK, a cookie typically is a bigger, more decadent, chewy biscuit),

Here’s Why Dark Fantasy Is Mishry’s Top Pick:

Let’s first talk about the filling: The chocolate filling inside is just the right consistency. It’s not runny, which would make it a messy eating experience. ‘Velvety’ is more like it. It tastes delicious, its got that nice, rich chocolatey flavor which is sweet, mildly nutty, but not bitter.

The outer layer, that holds this velvety chocolate filling, is crisp and creates a good balance for the smooth chocolate filling inside. As you bite into a Dark Fantasy, you get gooey chocolate and crisp cookie in equal measure making them work for each other quite well. The outer cookie itself is mildly sweet and buttery, but it’s the filling that shines through.

Parle’s Milano Choco Delight:

This has a few issues, but the topmost is just how crumbly it is, to the point that its difficult to get a good bite. It falls apart really easily. In fact, the packet we bought, had more crumbled cookies than unbroken ones.

Milano is clearly for an older audience and has a mild bitter-chocolate taste. The filling is fine on consistency and is good-tasting. It’s the exterior that brings down what could have been a good dark-chocolatey-cookie. Aside from what we shared about the cookie being crumbly, the overall bite, even when you decide to have it all in one go, feels a bit dry and dense. Again, the chocolate filling is the only relief.

Conclusion: Dark Fantasy Vs Milano

While both had tasty a chocolate-filling inside, Dark Fantasy inched ahead just little on account of its sweetness.

But eventually, it came down to the exterior in this choco-filled cookie face-off. Milano was crumbly, messy and difficult to eat. Dark Fantasy lived up to all that it promises, and after multiple tastings emerged a clear winner.

Parle Milano was crumblier than Sunfeast Dark Fantasy
