Review Factors
What are we looking for? Heat! Heat! Heat! We are looking for a pack of SPICY ramen which also packs a flavor. Having said that, the result should be a spicy experience that’s bold yet balanced, where each bite must be enjoyed rather than be a challenge to complete. The texture of the noodles also play a huge role while choosing the winner.
To find out the spiciest noodles in India, we have set the following review parameters:
1. Taste
We assessed the following:
- Spice levels: The heat factor was a primary focus since we were hunting for the spiciest noodles. We carefully gauged the spiciness of each contender via multiple taste tests.
- The intensity of the promised flavors: The flavor profile should be more than just spicy. It should have depth and complexity and must deliver an enjoyable taste.
In addition, we also evaluated the overall seasoning, aftertaste (if any) and freshness of veggies.
2. Texture
We expect long, bouncy, and non-sticky noodles. We also assessed the noodle-to-seasoning ratio and the texture of the vegetables.
This helped us to evaluate if the seasoning adequately coats the noodles, preventing any bland strands.
The Qualifier
How did we select the contenders for our spiciest noodles review?
For selecting the contenders for our spiciest noodles in India, we set the following guidelines:
- We selected our contenders according to the spiciness as advertised on the packaging. In our evaluation, we focused on noodles that explicitly used terms like “spicy,” “dynamite,” or claimed to deliver a heat level beyond the standard pack of instant/masala noodles.
- The second criteria was that the noodles should be vegetarian.
- The packaging whether cup noodles or pack noodles wasn’t a deal breaker. However, given a choice between the two we would opt for packaged noodles over cup noodles.
Why was Samyang Buldak not part of the contenders? Despite the immense popularity of Samyang Buldak instant noodles, we could not find a vegetarian version that met our criteria. Hence, we had to exclude the brand from our contenders list no matter how popular it is.

These noodles are incredibly hot, but it’s the kind of heat that keeps you coming back for more. The spiciness is intense but so full of flavor.
It had a superb umami flavor that made us want to return after each bite. Towards the end, it leaves behind an extremely mild sweet finish on your palette. On the scale of spiciness, they rightly deserve a 5 on 5 rating.
The price of an 80 gm pack is Rs. 49. What’s inside the pack? The block of noodles (yellow color), a small pack of seasoning mix powder, and a separate pouch of seasoning oil (red hue).

2. Wai Wai Dynamite Bamboo Shoot Noodles – Mishry Top Pick
As compared to Nissin Geki, Wai Wai Dynamite Bamboo Shoot Noodles deliver unidimensional and sharp heat. In other words, the overall spiciness is so intense that it is sure to burn down your lips and throat.
While both Wai Wai and Nissin noodles provide an intense spicy experience, Wai Wai’s heat misses out on the complexity of flavors.

8. Keya Hot & Spicy Ramyun Thin Noodles
The overall spice rating for these noodles is 2 on 5. These noodles have a satisfying spice level with balanced flavors. The broth is flavorful while the long, bouncy texture of the noodles makes them enjoyable to eat. We loved the sesame sprinkler on top!
A 89 gm pack retails at a cost of Rs. 49. What does the pack include? Noodle block (70 gm), a pouch of saucemaker (18 gm) and a sachet of sprinkler (1 gm).
9. Paldo HWA Ramyun Hot & Spicy
Paldo noodles lands at no. 9 on our list as everything from the spice level to the texture of the noodles was not up to the mark. The spiciness is just average in the sense that it lacks the fiery kick.
Additionally, the broth lacks the depth of flavor and the mouthfeel is not satisfying either.
10. Masterchow Korean Spicy Cup Noodles
Masterchow Korean Spicy Cup Noodles stands at no. 10 on our list. We were expecting a signature spicy Korean kick but were left with nothing. The texture of the noodles was disappointing as well.
