Packed in a bright green color box, this tea has a shelf life of 9 months. The box has a pictorial representation of charminar. The price of the 250 gm pack is Rs. 145. The main ingredients are – Tea (99.4%), and Natural Flavor.
How We Made It?
We used this chai patti and milk to prepare the tea as suggested on the pack. Be sure to add sugar as per your taste.
Observations
Color
This tea has a milky caramel hue. It differs from the traditional kadak chai that we usually brew at home.
Aroma
It has an enticing aroma that is similar to that of an Iranian chai, which is milky and sweet.
Flavor
This chai has a pleasant milky sweetness reminiscent of that of condensed milk. It tastes somewhat identical to a traditional Irani chai and has a great milky, dessert-like flavor.
A typical Hyderabadi Irani Chai also known as Hyderabadi Dum Tea is a sweet, milky and creamy Indian tea made by the addition of khoya or mawa to black tea. The addition of spices such as cinnamon and green cardamom is optional here.

How We Made It?
Similar to the above variant, we prepared this tea using only the chai patti and milk as suggested on the pack. We did not add any sugar here, but you can as per taste.
Observations
Color
This tea is milky with a light caramel color. The hue is slightly stronger than in Hyderabadi Irani chai.
Aroma
Cardamom is the most noticeable aroma felt here, with slight milky undertones.
Flavor
This chai has a lovely milky sweetness combined with the sweet astringency coming through from the cardamom. Although there is no requirement to add sugar, you can if you like a meethi cup of chaa.
So what’s mithai-like about it? It has a flavor that can be associated with a mithai thanks to the kadha hua doodh and cardamom-like sweetness.
Mithai Chai is not a stand-alone dish you will find in Old Delhi. But the many MANY halwais and mithai vendors you can find there could be credited to this tag.
