Appearance – It is round in shape and has a light brown color. On the inside, these are filled with strawberry cream. The cream has a pale pink color. The cake to the filling ratio is apt.
Taste – Thumbs down. The taste of this fruto pie was just average. There are multiple things that we did not appreciate. Firstly, the strawberry flavor in the filling is not dominant. Secondly, they felt slightly eggy when we tasted them. That being said, the sweetness is apt. It is not overpoweringly sweet. The overall flavor profile is fruity.
Texture – The texture was a letdown too. The outer layer of the cake was dry and crumbly. Coming to the filling, it lacked the smoothness in texture and a rich mouthfeel. Lastly, it felt quite heavy on the palette.
