We reviewed the 70 gm pack priced at Rs. 33 and has a shelf life of 10 months. It comes in the usual Act II popcorn packaging which is not resealable.
Method Of Preparation
All the cooking instructions to cook the popcorn are mentioned on the pack. The instructions are as follows :
- Empty the contents in a deep pan or pressure cooker.
- Cover with an inverted lid.
- Leave a small gap facing away from you and allow the steam to escape.
- Cook on medium flame and shake the utensil until popping slows down to 1-2 secs.
- Voila! Your hot and fresh popcorn is ready.
Aroma & First Glimpse
On opening the pack, the aroma of Southern spices was the most noticeable. At the first glimpse, we could see small-sized raw popcorn kernels infused in oil which has a red hue.
Why do raw popcorn kernels have oil? This process helps popcorn kernels to pop up well, and also lend a slight flavor.

The popcorn kernels had popped up in their full size in the time frame of 2 minutes. A few kernels remained unpopped at the bottom. During the popping process, it released an enticing aroma of Southern flavors.
The brand has mentioned the instructions to prepare these. If all the instructions are followed to the T, then the final result will be a bowl of perfectly popped popcorn.

Southern flavors are best described as a mix of flavors from curry leaves, red chillies, coconut and mustard seeds. How were these?
Fresh and tasty! These popcorn are medium spicy and have a well-balanced salt level. The overall taste is true to its flavor tag. The Southern flavor is evident and gives the everyday popcorn a lovely edge. It is very similar to a sambar powder.
