Paper Boat Sparkling Water Flavours – Detailed Review
The following section discusses our experience and findings about Paper Boat Sparkling Water.
1. Green Apple
Price & Packaging
This variant was packed similarly. A 600 ml bottle is priced at Rs 60/- with a six-month shelf life.
Main Ingredients
Water, erythritol, carbon dioxide, flavors (nature-identical and natural), acidity regulator (malic acid), preservative (sodium benzoate), sweetener (sucralose), and food colors (INS 102 and INS 133).
This also contains added green apple flavor.
The brand claims this range has ‘no added sugar. None. At. All.’ And this is true.
Paper Boat Zero Sugar Sparkling Water has no added sugar. The ingredient list mentions that the beverage contains an admixture of erythritol and sucralose.
But as per FSSAI, this admixture is not considered as added sugar as sucralose is calorie-free. Sucralose is chemically processed but erythritol, on the other hand, is a naturally occurring sugar substitute.
Taste & Consistency
Soda (carbon dioxide) is savored for its refreshing fizz. This crisp mouthfeel was experienced here. Moreover, the fizz was retained for almost 30 minutes even after the beverage was poured in a glass. Thumbs up on that.
Taste-wise, this had a balanced sweetness that we quite liked. The desirable sourness of green apples was tasted. The flavor of the fruit is spot-on.
- This featured an authentic green apple flavor.
- The fizz was retained for over 30 minutes.
Looking for a refreshing beverage minus the calories? May we suggest Paper Boat Zero Sugar Sparkling Water in Green Apple?
2. Peach
Price & Packaging
A 600 ml bottle is priced at Rs 60/-. It has a shelf life of six months.
The bottle is see-through with a green reclosable lid. The flavor variant and graphics of ingredients are on the front and the nutrition label and list of ingredients is printed on the back.
Main Ingredients
Water, erythritol, carbon dioxide (INS 290), peach juice concentrate (0.8%), apple juice concentrate (0.7%), flavors (nature-identical and natural), acidity regulator (citric acid), class II preservative (sodium benzoate), sweetener (sucralose), and synthetic food colors (INS 124 and INS 110).

We compared Paper Boat Zero Sugar Sparkling water to other aerated beverages (100 ml) and found that
Paper Boat Zero Sugar 4 Kcal
Aerated Beverage 44 Kcal, 11 grams of carbohydrates
Taste & Consistency
The fizz was crisp and the sips were refreshing. However, the flavors were average. This variant had a desirable flavor of the fruit but was more on the sweeter side. Moreover, we could taste the artificial sweetness right towards the end of the sip which brought down the experience.
- This is priced economically.
- It is a low-calorie alternative to sugar-loaded beverages.
- The fizz was refreshing.
- There was an artificial aftertaste.
Craving a fizzy beverage? Don’t want to consume liquid calories? Paper Boat offers a low-calorie alternative.
3. Cumin
Price & Packaging
The price and packaging are similar to other from the range. This has a six-month shelf life.
Main Ingredients
Water, erythritol, carbon dioxide (INS 290), iodized salt, acidity regulator (citric acid), flavors (nature-identical and natural), antioxidant (ascorbic acid), preservative (sodium benzoate), food color (INS 150 d), and sweetener (sucralose).
Ascorbic acid is a form of vitamin C naturally found in food. It is known to taste sour/tarty due to its acidic property.
Taste & Consistency
The fizz was tested in two parts. When poured in the glass, the fizz was not retained as long as the other variants. However, when the bottle was capped, it remained fizzy.
In terms of flavor, the saltiness was dominant. It had a mild hint of sweetness, but with a bold warmth of ‘roasted’ cumin seeds.
- This is priced decently.
