In addition to hot water and seasoning, cup noodles are also steeped in cultural significance. Synonymous with convenience, cup noodles make for the EASIEST (read: laziest) meal for those road trips, untimely cravings, movie marathons, among others.

We tried the veggie instant noodles by YiPPe! and rated them on parameters like taste and texture. Here is Mishry’s Sunfeast Yippee Quik Mealz Veggie Delight Noodles review. Should you try this?

Price + Packaging

A 70-gram cup is priced at Rs 50/- It has a shelf life of eight months. This is a round-shaped container sealed with a plastic lid. The seasoning sachet and wooden fork are packed separately. 

Main Ingredients

Instant Noodles- Refined wheat flour (maida), refined palm oil, dehydrated vegetables (4.8%) (carrot- 2.2%, peas- 1.2%, corn- 1%, and beans- 0.4%), starch, iodised salt, thickeners (INS 508, INS 412), wheat gluten, stabilizer (INS 170), acidity regulators (INS 500 (ii), INS 450 (i), INS 330), onion powder (0.1%), and red chilli powder (0.03%)

Seasoning- dehydrated vegetables (24.1%) (onion- 18.4%, tomato (2.6%), carrot (1.5%), beans (1%), cabbage (0.5%), spices and condiments (22.7%) (garlic, red chilli, cumin, coriander, fennel, ginger, parsley, black pepper, mace, star anise, and cloves), instant noodle powder (refined wheat flour (maida), refined palm oil, starch, iodised salt, wheat gluten, onion powder (0.03%), iodised salt, starch, hydrolysed vegetable protein, cheese premix powder, sugar, flavor enhancers (INS 627, INS 631), dairy whitener, nature identical flavoring substances, natural flavors and natural flavoring substances. 

As mentioned above, we are not taking the ingredients or nutritional values into consideration as this does not call itself a healthy product. However, this is prepared with tons of additives and we’d recommend mindful, monitored consumption. 

Aroma + Appearance

Once ready, this had a bold aroma of masalas, very inviting. The noodles had plumped up well and we could see bits of veggies like carrots, green beans, and corn too. 

Taste + Texture

The masala to noodle proportion was on point, no adjustments needed here. We added water as mentioned on the pack and this was perfect too. Our noodles were neither dry nor too watery, in which case the flavors would not be as prominent. The veggies turned soft but had that bite which elevated the texture. We also liked the texture of the noodles – non-sticky, long, slippery noodles with a springy bite. 

Another observation- most cup noodles collect a residue of the seasoning at the bottom and cannot properly coat the noodles. This was not the case with Sunfeast Yippee Veggie Delight noodles, thumbs up. 

These noodles would suffice as a filling meal for one.
