While reviewing Nova Nova Choco Filled Cones, our focus parameters were their taste and texture.

These choco-filled cones were made with the objective of relishing the unquestionably decadent last bite of ice cream cones. 

We gauged to see the balance of sweetness, the decadence of the chocolate filling, the synchronization of the two components together, and overall freshness. Were we impressed? (Hint- we were!)

2. Texture

The texture was recorded in two stages- the filling and the cone. 

Was the cone crisp? Or was the bite soft? Or straight up soggy? What about the filling? Solidified, semi-solid, or melted?

These cones are placed in a resealable pouch. It has black and purple graphics. The cones do not have any tray packaging.

A pack holding 100 grams of product is priced at Rs 249/- and has a shelf life of 180 days (six months) from the date of manufacture. 

Main Ingredients

All purpose flour, Belgian chocolate sauce (emulsifier 322, chocolate flavor), milk chocolate compound, sugar, salted butter, vanilla essence (E 500) are the key ingredients. 

This also contains natural and nature-identical flavoring substances but are free of preservatives. 

A 30-gram serving (9-10 cones) offers 111 Kcal with 2 grams of protein, 16 grams of carbohydrates, and 5 grams of fat making this a fairly decent snack, calorie-wise.

Aroma + Appearance

These cones were caramel-colored with a deep brown filling. Uneven-looking, some cones were crumbly, others were broken from the bottom, but they were all filled with chocolate to the max. A cone would be approximately be 3-4 cms.

The aroma was appetizing, chocolaty, and inviting. 

Taste + Texture

Nova Nova Choco Filled cones had a crisp bite. The chocolate filling was smooth and well-set, and the crispness + smoothness worked well together. To add to this, the cone was filled with chocolate from end to end, there were no empty bites. Thumbs up on this.

As for the flavor, there was a desirable balance between the flavor of chocolate and overall sweetness. We tasted a miniscule quantity of salt and it enhanced and tied the flavors together. 

There was no rancid taste of butter (like it had gone bad), another commendable aspect.
