Our Verdict
Cooking Experience
Cooking these kachoris was a hassle-free process no doubt! Our observation here is that the kachoris could have been cooked for a few more minutes in the oven after initial heating. This would have helped achieve a crispier exterior.
Texture
The texture of the kachoris could have been better! When we cooked them as per the instructions, the kachoris turned out to be slightly soggy and oily. Also, at several points, we felt that the kachori had a doughy texture.
That being said, the proportion of the filling to the outer casing was up to the mark.
Taste
The main highlight of these kachoris is the filling! The filling has a delightful blend of fresh green peas, and a flavorful and balanced seasoning of spices like coriander, cumin, and mango powder. The spice level was moderate, and the salt level was on point. Additionally, the peas were cooked to perfection and had absolutely no raw taste/texture.
The accompanying meethi chutney with the pack was delicious too! It is sweet as expected and has a homestyle touch.
Pros
- Flavorful stuffing
- Homestyle meethi chutney
- Peas taste fresh
- Effortless to reheat
- Clean ingredients list
Cons
- Kachori felt doughy in some places.
- The texture lacked the desired crispness and turned out to be oily.
Best Suited For
We recommend trying these kachoris to beat those untimely cravings, or just an effortless snack for those relaxing evenings!
