#FirstImpression Of Britannia Winkin Cow Milkshakes
Price and packaging – The 180 ml tetra packs of these milkshakes are priced at Rs 30/- each. They all come with a plastic straw. The packaging is convenient, especially to pack in tiffins, or for traveling.
Ingredients Used – Let’s get straight to it. These are milk-based shakes and use natural/nature identical flavors to the ‘fruity’ flavor. A small amount of actual fruit puree is used. The Mangolicious Thick Shake uses 0.1% of alphonso mango puree while the strawberry milkshake uses 0.6% strawberry puree.
The milk – The ‘milkiness’ of the shakes was intact and did not feel watered down even if the double toned variety was used. None of the milkshakes coated our mouths like some milkshakes often do, and felt fresh and filling upon consumption.
Flavor and Taste – Britannia Winkin’ Cow Thick Shakes
Vanillicious – (Vanilla Milkshake)
The vanilla milkshake was the thickest out of the three and tasted rich and delicious. It was as if we were drinking melted vanilla ice cream (Yes, the taste is exactly the same). The sweetness is well balanced too. We liked this flavor the most amongst the three tasted. They would also make a great base to create desserts, smoothies, and other vanilla-flavored treats.
Mangolicious – (Mango Milkshake)
This one was our favorite! The mango milkshake had a perfect consistency. It was creamy and tasted of fresh mangoes. The dominant mango flavor and balanced sweetness won us over.
Strawbericious – (Strawberry Milkshake)
The strawberry shake is our least favorite in comparison with the other two that have robust signature flavors, and so this one lags behind a bit. That being said, a hardcore strawberry-flavor fan, would like this a lot. The thickness was like that of the mango milkshake.
We made sure the kids also tasted as these milkshakes as we wanted to gauge their sugar tolerance as well. As adults, we prefer beverages with lower sweetness levels, so getting these tasted by kids (the target audience for this product) was a given.
These will be good fill-you-up drinks. It is a good snack for kids on-the-go. We are not saying these are good for everyday consumption, but these are definitely better than carbonated drinks that the kids love so much these days.
We liked them even when we tried these without refrigerating.
Mishry Rating (On a scale of 0-5) – 4 Mishrys for these Britannia Winkin’ Cow Milkshakes for its convenience and taste. We took away one mark for the lack of real fruits being used in these milkshakes.
