Aroma of Borges Stress Relief Olive Leaf Infusion
The aroma of the infusion is very subtle and you get very mild notes of mint and olive.
Flavor of Borges Stress Relief Olive Leaf Infusion
There are regular lemon-ginger herbal infusions and then there are THESE infusions. What we mean is that while some flavors are common and familiar, others are very unexpected. The Borges Stress Relief Olive Leaf Infusion (Mint Favor) is a rather interesting herbal infusion with clear minty and olive notes.
Olives, generally, have a very wide range of flavor tones. They can be mild and sweet and sometimes even dark or bitter. In fact, olives are cured, or prepared for mass consumption, the process takes away the bitterness of olives making them palatable. Eventually, the final flavor depends on the quality of the olives, and how fresh they were. The same goes for olive oil as well. This infusion, of course, is made using olive leaves, but the signature flavor notes remain.
The signature, almost grassy green, olive flavor is very much there and does not diminish behind the mint. The concoction is mild green in color. The bold hint of mint and the oily-olive flavors coat your palate towards the end of a cup.
We noticed that if you brew it for a longer period, it can become very bitter. It is advisable to stick to the brewing instructions. Overall, this is a very interesting product and can add a sense of uniqueness to any tea lovers’ collection. Do try it if you love to experiment with new flavors.
