The aroma, appearance, and flavor were the prime parameters in our Brooke Bond Red Label Nature Care Tea Review. Was this impressive or would we stick to brewing our tea with natural spices and flavoring agents?
1. Taste
Is the flavor of tea leaves fresh and robust? Are the five ayurvedic ingredients rounded, or does one overpower the others? Do any of the flavors feel artificial or synthetic?
2. Aroma
Which was the most prominent ingredient in terms of aroma? Do the aromas change from the dry stage to brewing? What was stronger, the aroma or the taste?
3. Other Parameters
The price, packaging, ingredients, color, overall convenience were gauged.
Brooke Bond Red Label Natural Care Tea – Detailed Review
Price + Packaging
The packaging has been revised, this now comes in red carton with an eye-catching graphic of a tea cup. One carton holds 250 grams of product and is priced at Rs 155/- It has a shelf life of one year.
Main Ingredients
The main ingredients are tea and natural flavoring substances. It states the flavors are cardamom, ginger, mulethi, ashwagandha, and tulsi.
Aroma + Appearance
Straight out of the box, we could see some green bits in the tea leaves. These resembled tulsi. We could identify tulsi in terms of aroma.
Once brewed this developed a deep amber hue and had a tinge of gold. After adding milk, the tea turned brown, like your usual homemade kadak chai. Majorly, this had a chai patti-like fragrance only and we couldn’t significantly sense the herbs.
Taste
During brewing and once done, we could identify tulsi in terms of aroma. This was the only ingredient of the five that was prominent enough. Once it was brewed, the tea developed a bold aroma that had woody and spicy notes.
Taste-wise, this would majorly depend on the milk and sugar added, but for us, this was a lot like kadak chai. The presence of the five ayurvedic herbs could barely be felt. We truly missed the flavor of spices like ginger or cardamom.
Pros
- Can see tulsi bits
- Decent economic value
- Vibrant packaging
Cons
- Barely any aroma or flavor of herbs
