Price & Packaging
We purchased our coffee warmer with mug on Amazon and paid Rs 998/-. This draws a power of 16 watts. The set comprises a warmer, a cup with a lid, and a golden spoon.
Material & Design
The material used is ceramic and it has a 350 ml capacity. This works on a gravity-induced technology. The warming plate turns on and off automatically when the cup is placed or lifted, respectively.
The dimensions of the mat are 15 x 12 cm and that of the cup is 3.6 x 3 inches.
The spoon is approximately 14 cm and the wire is 26 inches long.
The base of the plate is antiskid.
What is a gravity-induced plate?
This means after the warming plate has been plugged in and turned on, it will function only when a mug is placed on it and stop as soon as the mug is lifted.
How we reviewed this
We used the green ceramic mug to gauge how well it works. Then we poured some milk in a glass, and also tested the functionality with water in the ceramic mug.
Our Experience
For a fair and unbiased review, we checked the temperatures using our food thermometer.
Stage 1- Coffee in ceramic mug
Initially, the coffee was at 52 degrees. We placed the mug on the warming plate for 20 minutes and it came down to 49 degrees in the following ten minutes. For the last 10 minutes, it stayed constant at 49 degrees.
Stage 2- Milk in glass
This did not work. The base of the glass was not covering the surface of the warming plate.
However, when we poured the milk in the ceramic cup, it was warm then and the temperature was retained.
Stage 3- Water in ceramic mug
Before placing the cup on the plate, we checked the temperature. It was at 54 degrees. 10 minutes after staying on the warming plate, it came down to 50.4 degrees.
Usability & Innovation
All-in-all, this is a remarkable product. It delivers on the claims that were promised. Our beverages stayed warm till the last sip.
