Chicken is a versatile meat that can pretty much be paired up using any set of ingredients. Turn it into a tikka using some desi ingredients, into a stroganoff or a hearty stew. Chicken rarely disappoints. Don’t you agree? Over the past months, we reviewed a lot of chicken products, including frozen snacks. Some really exceeded our expectations, and some failed miserably. How we made it – The pack mentions that this can be made using two methods – air frying and deep-frying. We tried it using the deep frying method. We did not thaw the chicken fingers and fired them on medium heat in sunflower oil.

We noticed that all the ITC Master Chef Crispy Chicken Fries are very uniformly shaped and none of the pieces were broken. This is always a big plus point in frozen foods as it becomes a favorable option to serve as a snack at a party as well. We could see specs of black pepper spread across the chicken fries.

Taste and texture – The ITC Master Chef Crispy Chicken Fries had a very pronounced crunch and is very tender and soft on the inside. The batter was evenly coated throughout all the fries and was very thin. While eating these, it did not feel like we are biting into a heavily breaded chicken snack. The chicken to batter ratio was absolutely spot on. The chicken flavor, combined with a dominant black pepper taste, was nice and very pleasant. The fact that the salt was not overpowering helped the chicken flavor rise and turned this into an appetizing snack!

These would go very well with a lot of condiments like ketchup, mustard, or even mayonnaise.

We really liked a lot of things about this snack – the balanced seasoning, the black pepper taste, the crunchy exterior, and the fact that these had the perfect proportion of batter and meat. If you don’t want plain chicken nuggets and are looking for some variety, these would be the ideal choice. Another plus point, these are kid-friendly!

Give these chicken fries by ITC a try if you are looking for frozen chicken snacks and the convenience attached to them.
