Our Review Factors
What were we looking for when we reviewed MiHeSo Overnight Oats?
Overnight oats are essentially for those who need a quick, nutritious breakfast each morning without going through an elaborate cooking process during rush hour.
An appetizing flavor profile, textural variations, good-quality nutrition, and convenience were the key parameters of this review.
1. Taste
Oats do not really have a bold flavor, but they take on flavors fairly well.
When it comes to these pre-flavored, packaged oats, is the blend of flavors favorable? Do the ingredients taste fresh? Were any artificial/synthetic flavors observed?
2. Texture
Plumped and easy to chew or partially raw, what was the texture of oats like after soaking them overnight? What about the nuts, dry fruits, and seeds? Did they retain the ‘bite’ or had they turned soggy?
3. Main Ingredients
Overnight oats are typically a breakfast item, which is called the most important meal of the day. This is why we gauged the ingredient list to check whether or not they are good quality, provide sustained energy, and more.
4. Convenience
What is the prep work needed the night before? How many items does this call for from the pantry? Truly convenient or just a sham?
5. Other Parameters
Here, we discuss the non-tasting parameters like economic value, packaging, etc. Is this pocket-friendly or would you be better off making overnight oats from scratch?
MiHeSo Overnight Oats – Review Process
Overnight oats are typically consumed chilled as they are placed in a refrigerator overnight. However, MiHeSo oats can be eaten warm too.
For our review process, we tried the overnight (cold oats) method. The contents were added to a bowl. We added a topping of choice (bananas) with approximately 150 ml of toned milk, mixed everything well, and placed it in the fridge. The next morning, we conducted our taste test.
Before we move on to our next segment, here are some details about the two ingredients that you will be reading about – Calcium fortifications and Bacillus Coagulants.
What are calcium fortifications? What do they do?
Calcium fortifications are added in the form of calcium carbonate in MiHeSo Oats. This dietary supplement is often prescribed to those who cannot intake sufficient amounts of calcium via their regular diet. Our bodies use calcium for healthy bones, muscles, the nervous system, and the heart too.
Calcium carbonate is also used in antacid medicines that help with heartburn, indigestion, etc.
How does the probiotic Bacillus Coagulants Unique IS2 affect my gut?
Bacillus Coagulants Unique IS2 is a microbial strain that has the ability to produce digestive enzymes and vitamins. Typically found in kids’ gummies, this helps to treat gastrointestinal issues and those of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) like bloating, the passage of gas, etc.

MiHeSo Overnight Oats – Detailed Review
All about our experience, from packaging to tasting, and scanning the nutrition label is detailed in this section.
1. Chocolate
Taste & Texture
The mix of oats and milk was refrigerated for around eight hours. The milk had taken on the color of chocolate and had a pleasing light brown hue. The aroma wasn’t too intense, it was chocolatey. The oats had softened, developing a spongy texture.
There was a considerable amount of milk that hadn’t been absorbed, so in case you want a thicker, more spoonable, consistency, we would recommend reducing the quantity to 125 ml. If you like a muesli-milk type of consistency, the milk-to-oats ratio recommended by MiHeSo was on point and needed no adjustments. This was the same throughout all the flavors we tested.
In terms of taste, the flavor of chocolate was quite pleasing. With a well-rounded sweetness, the natural flavors of almonds, seeds (pumpkin, chia, flax, and basil), and raisins could be tasted.
All the nuts, seeds, and raisins tasted fresh and were of good quality. We particularly loved how the almonds were not thin slivers and retained a nice bold bite and crunch. The fresh, plump raisins deserve a note of appreciation as well.
Main Ingredients
Rolled oats, Jaggery powder, Cocoa solids (3%), Almonds, Raisins (black and green), Seeds (Pumpkin seeds, Chia seeds, Flax seeds, Basil seeds), Natural flavor (chocolate), Calcium fortifications (Calcium carbonate), Probiotics (Bacillus Coagulants Unique IS2).
Nutrition Info

2. Mango
Taste & Texture
Super fresh! The Mango variant by MiHeSo had a mild but unmissable flavor of the fruit. The slight earthy taste that oats have could be mildly tasted as well. Raisins, almonds, and seeds lent their characteristic flavors and were fresh to taste. This indicated that good quality ingredients had been used, as there were no rancid or artificial flavors. Additionally, the sweetness was balanced well, not too overpowering, and not too mild.
The points about consistency, freshness, and quality of ingredients remain the same here.

3. Mixed Berries
Taste & Texture

Special mention for the appearance, after mixing oats with milk, the milk developed a beautiful light pink hue, like that of strawberry ice cream!

4. Banana Caramel
Taste & Texture
The taste and aroma were like that of perfectly ripe bananas- natural and sweet. The ‘caramel’ tag on the flavor label was delivered exceptionally. Because this had predominantly two ingredients that are sweet in nature, this was slightly more sweet that the three others we reviewed. The texture and flavor of toppings was just the other variants from the range.
High quality ingredients have been used, right from the base to the toppings. The oats are large-sized and they looked similar to muesli in the dry stage (see images). The raisins plumped up well, the almonds hadn’t turned completely soggy, they had a soft bite.
Main Ingredients
Rolled oats, Jaggery powder, Banana powder (6%), Almonds, Raisins (black and green), Seeds (Pumpkin seeds, Chia seeds, Flax seeds, Basil seeds), Natural Flavors (Banana and Caramel), Calcium (calcium carbonate), Probiotics (Bacillus Coagulants Unique IS2)
