1. Available Variants
This brand has two variants of bars- Phab Protein Bars and Phab Energy Bars. The Phab Protein Bars are available in three flavor variants. There is a chocolate brownie, strawberry and greek yogurt, and mocha nut fudge.
For our Phab Protein Bars review, we ordered the Strawberry and Greek Yogurt and Mocha Nut Fudge variants.
2. Main Ingredients
The Phab Protein Bars contain a blend of soy and whey protein. The protein blends makeup for 37% of the total ingredients. Honey, prebiotic fiber, and high oleic sunflower oil are the other common ingredients.
Further, based on the flavor variant additional ingredients like coffee powder, dehydrated strawberries, etc have been used.
3. Available Sizes
Phab Protein Bars are available in regular and mini-sized bars.
The regular bars weigh 65 gm and the mini protein bars weigh 35 gm.
4. Price Range
The price of a protein bar majorly depends on the quality of ingredients used. Most protein bars in the Indian market contain big proportions of added sugars and carbohydrate sources like oats and rice.
Further, the type of protein used in these bars can affect the price too. Protein bars can be made using whey protein, soy protein, pea protein, etc.
When we compared Phab Protein Bars to similar ones in the market, we found that the Phab Protein Bars fall in the lower end of the price range.
Fun fact- Phab Protein Bars are also low in fats comparatively, which makes them less calorie-dense.
5. Nutritional Facts
The Phab Protein Bar variants we tried have around 215 calories in a bar.
One bar (65 gm) gives you 21 grams of protein, 21-23 gm of carbohydrates, and 4-5 gm of fats.
6. Availability
Phab Protein Bars are available on Amazon as well as the official Phab website.
You can also purchase these protein bars from a general/medical store.
Phab Protein Bars – Our Review Factors
A protein bar can be labeled as a ‘protein’ bar only if it provides 10 or more than 10 grams of protein. The same product with less protein content is an energy bar or snack bar.
A common issue most fitness enthusiasts or diet-conscious individuals face is when it comes to snacking.
Now just because a brand labels its bars as ‘healthy’ doesn’t mean they are healthy in the real sense.
In Team Mishry’s Phab Protein Bars review, we discuss the macro-composition, ingredients, and other significant parameters.
1. Quality of Ingredients
All foods provide energy in the form of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. Based on the quality of ingredients used, these ingredients can be good or bad sources of energy. We wanted to check the bars for their sources of these nutrients. To explain this better, more and more people have been replacing refined sugar with jaggery. Why? Because jaggery, although has similar calories, is more nutrient-dense.
2. Macro-Composition
Protein bars must have a decent distribution of all three macronutrients- carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Ideally, protein should be the second-highest macronutrient.
The protein content of protein bars is as significant as their taste.
Additionally, a protein bar (30-70 grams) must be no more than 250-350 calories. Protein bars need to have a minimum of 10 gm of protein.
3. Fiber Content
Although fiber has negligible calories, it plays a significant role in providing energy. In addition to this, fiber also feeds good gut bacteria which helps maintain bowel health.
A protein bar with anywhere between 3-5 grams of fiber is good.
4. Sugar Content
Sugars are a source of quick-absorbing carbohydrates. While a source of fast-digesting carbohydrates are recommended to be consumed as a post-workout, the type of sweetener used plays a significant role.
Is refined sugar used? Or a plant-based sweetener like jaggery or honey in the Phab Protein Bars?
5. Taste
Taste is as significant as the protein content when talking about protein bars.
In our Phab Protein Bars review, we discuss the levels of sweetness in these bars and whether or not we could taste the ingredients that have been used.
6. Price
Are the Phab Protein Bars priced taking the Indian market into consideration? Do the ingredients used and quantity justify the price? What about other brands manufacturing similar products?

Phab Protein Bar in the strawberries and greek yogurt variant was a hit!
This 65 gm bar contains 21 gm of protein, almost 30% which is pretty great. Right out of the packaging, this variant of Phab Protein Bar had a sturdy feel to it. A mildly fruity aroma was noticed.
Taste-wise, we could definitely taste all ingredients mentioned on the list, some in huge quantities and others in moderate. This protein bar felt a little too dry for our liking.
That being said, the dehydrated strawberry pieces and coating of white chocolate delivered well. The crunch or ‘bite’ coming from the roasted almonds could be felt. We only wish there were a few more pieces of these almonds.
