Mishry Rating
SUPERB!
Summary
As indicated by the ratings, we preferred the chicken momos over the vegetable ones. The chicken momos are tastier, have an adequate stuffing and are well-seasoned. The flavor and texture of the vegetable momos can be improved.
Quite recently, BigBasket partnered with Chef Sanjeev Kapoor to introduce the frozen food label Precia. The new label encompasses three product categories – frozen vegetables, frozen snacks, and frozen sweets. Precia adopts the individual quick freezing technology that ensures rapid freezing of products at ultra-low temperatures.
We tested the Chicken and Mixed Vegetables momos from their frozen snacks category. Our Precia By Sanjeev Kapoor Momos review highlights how they fared on various parameters like flavor, texture, price and packaging.

Our Review Factors
Our Expectations? We are looking for fresh tasting , flavorful momos encased in a thin casing/wrapper.
1. Taste
We are looking at the following aspects here:
- The taste of the filling and the overall seasoning
- Freshness of the vegetables/chicken
- The flavor combination of the ingredients used
- Lingering aftertaste observed, if any
2. Texture
The outer casing and the filling are the two focus points we checked here. In the case of chicken momos, we are expecting a juicy filling. While in the case of mixed vegetables momos, we are looking at how well cooked the vegetable stuffing is. Do they look fresh?
How is the outer casing of these momos? Thick or thin? Is it stuffed from end to end?
3. Other Information
Appearance
We looked at the shape of the momos and if there were any broken/damaged pieces.
Packaging
Does it have resealable packaging for easy storage after opening? Are the momos placed in a tray or a pouch?
In addition , we also noted information on the pricing, ingredients and shelf life.

Precia By Sanjeev Kapoor Momos – Detailed Review
There are 3 different cooking methods to prepare these momos:
- Steaming
- Pan-frying
- Deep-frying
We opted for the pan-frying method to cook these momos. The momos were quick to cook without any hassles. Both the variants include 2 sachets of spicy chutney. Before we begin telling you about the momos, let’s talk about a crucial element of the momo-eating experience – the chutney. The chutney is delicious with notes of garlic, ginger and significant heat from the red chillies. It’s chunky and we loved the dippable consistency.
The following section talks about our detailed review of each individual variant:
1. Chicken Momos
Our Experience
These momos have a unique almond shape and an orange hue. One thing we appreciated was that there were no empty pockets. The momos are generously filled from end to end with a juicy and flavorful chicken filling. Although the outer casing could have been slightly thinner, the abundance of chicken filling compensates for it. As for the flavor, the chicken filling is perfectly seasoned with coriander, onions, and ginger, resulting in a burst of flavor that leaves no room for blandness.

2. Mixed Vegetables Momos
Our Experience
The mixed vegetable momos are crescent-shaped and have a green color. However, the filling consists mostly of cabbage with only a few pieces of corn. Unfortunately, the addition of corn kernels does not improve the flavor, which feels muted and unsatisfying. Furthermore, the momos are not generously stuffed, resulting in an imbalance in the filling-to-dough ratio. Additionally, the outer casing is slightly thicker than expected.

Parting Thoughts
We had a good overall experience trying these momos. We preferred the Chicken momos over the Mixed Vegetables Momos. The reason being, the chicken momos were well-stuffed and had a delicious seasoning, resulting in a delightful and enjoyable experience. However, the mixed vegetable momos did not have the right proportion of vegetables and the flavors felt muted. Nevertheless, we must appreciate the packaging for both momos, which was done exceptionally well.
