Our Review Factors
When reviewing Snaqary Teekha Multigrain sev, we set parameters like taste, texture, and price. The nutrition quotient (ingredients and calories) were gauged separately to arrive at the conclusion whether or not this is genuinely a better alternative.
1. Taste
Savory snacks like sev have an addictive flavor profile. We checked to see whether or not it was the same with Snaqary Teekha Multigrain sev.
Does it have the innate chatpata, masaaledar flavor? Does it taste fresh? What about the flour mix, does it have a prominent flavor? And oils, seasonings?
2. Texture
Apart from wolfing down handfuls of bhujiya, sev is usually added over dishes like poha, grilled sandwiches, and other snack items for a crunchy bite.
Does Snaqary Teekha Multigrain Sev lend this crispness? Is it crunchy or hard to bite? Do the sev feel greasy?
3. Nutrition Quotient
We scanned the ingredients used to make this multigrain sev. We also compared the nutritional values to that of regular, only chickpea flour-based sev, what did we find?
The source of fat was analysed too.
4. Other Non-Tasting Parameters
Here we noted the price, the packaging, the shelf life, and other visual parameters.

Snaqary Teekha Multigrain Sev is lower in calories and all three macronutrients.
So, does that make Snaqary Teekha Multigrain Sev nutritionally better than others in the market?
Just a lower calorie mark is not indicative of a better-for-health product. However, this product by Snaqary is made with more nutrient-dense ingredients that are full of micronutrients.
What’s the deal with refined palm oil?
Palm oil, in essence, is not the worst source of fat. Let’s take a look at where it is derived from.
Palm oil comes from the oil palm tree and the fact that it is refined, helps enhance the shelf life of products made with it. It is easily one of the cheapest and most easily available sources of fat.
Now palm oil does not contain transfat. However, this does not make it a ‘healthy’ food.
And when it comes to fat from oils, moderation is key.
Aroma + Appearance
A robust wave of masaledaar spices hit us as soon as we opened the pack. There was no stale/rancid aroma of oils or spices, thumbs up.
These were fine, like sev typically is, and had a deep orange-brown hue.
Taste + Texture
YUM YUM YUM. This multigrain sev definitely does not taste like regular bhujiya but is tasty, nonetheless. We could taste the earthiness that ragi has, but it was mild. The spice quotient was balanced and not overwhelming, we liked this. The seasoning was toothsome! It was well-rounded plus there were no stale aftertastes of spices or oil gone bad.
Texture-wise, this was SUPER crisp and fresh. We were impressed.
Pros
- Clean ingredients
