Our Review Factors
What did we expect from Wingreens Farms Smoked Tandoori Spice mix?
All-rounded flavors, inviting aroma, and overall quality were the primary parameters of this review.
We expect a spice blend to be full of desi flavors. Since this is labelled tandoori, we were looking for the distinct smokiness too. All-in-all, is this a well-rounded seasoning? Were the flavors bold or bland? Fresh or industrial?
Natural spices have a robust, prominent aroma. On the other hand, added flavors are not as bold. What did we find out after sniffing this spice mix? Does it have a bold, smokiness?
Other than paneer/chicken, what other ingredients does this spice mix call for? Do you have to rush back to your spice box or is this truly ‘as easy as 1,2,3…’?
4. Other Parameters
The price, packaging, ingredients were some other parameters we gauged this spice mix on.

Wingreens Farms Spice Rack Smoked Tandoori Spice Mix – Detailed Review
Price + Packaging
The spice mix is offered in a black, resealable pouch. It holds 50 grams of the product and is priced at Rs 99/-. This has a nine-month shelf life.
Mixed spices (red chilli, cumin, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, mace), iodized salt, dehydrated vegetables (tomato, garlic, onion, fenugreek leaf), sugar, flavor enhancer (INS 627, INS 631), acidity regulator (INS 330)
How we made it
As recommended on the pack, we let the paneer cubes and diced veggies (onion, capsicum, tomato) marinate for 30 minutes. For this, we used Amul Malai paneer. To prepare the marinade, we mixed some refined oil, Suhana ginger garlic paste, and the spice mix.
We skewered them and cooked the mini paneer tikkas on a non-stick tawa.
Let’s find out how the masala fared.
Flavor + Aroma
This spice mix had a desirable, smoky aroma. It wasn’t really a finely ground powder, it was slightly coarse and we could see specs of fenugreek leaves.
As for the appearance, Wingreens Farms Smoked Tandoori masala added a vibrant red-brown hue.
Coming to the taste, it was almost as good as dhaba/restaurant-style paneer tikka. Loaded with the warm flavors of spices, this seasoning featured a balanced flavor. The salt level was perfectly balanced so we did not add any. This was slightly on the spicier side, and we’d recommend using smaller amounts and build it up as you go.
As recommended, we also added some lemon juice after cooking these. This accentuated the overall flavor while slightly toning down the spice level. We loved how nicely the char of a tandoor was achieved on the tikkas even on a gas top.
This would work equally well for chicken tikka, though the cooking time will vary.
- Excellent flavor profile
- Lovely aroma
- Drool-worthy appearance
- Super convenient
- Time-efficient and does not call for tons of ingredients
Tikkas on your mind? Don’t want to order in? Make some at home without messing up flavors. No need to collect 18 different spices anymore, Wingreens Farms Smoked Tandoori spice mix hits the spot.
