Summary
Foodrik Choco Nutri Snack bar is a fairly good source of protein, iron, and fiber that comes from natural sources like sattu, oats, dates, and honey. This can be relished by both, kids and adults.
What’s a good snack? One that not only offers a favorable balance between the three macronutrients but also satiates the palate.

Our Review Factors
1. Taste
While sattu has a nutty taste, chocolate, dates, and honey are sweet elements. Is this bar too sweet to consume? Did the almonds taste fresh? What about oats, had they been roasted?
2. Texture
We were looking for a bold crunch from the almonds, a softer bite from the rice crispies, some chewiness from the dates, and an interesting interplay of textures from the other ingredients.
How did Foodrik fare here?
3. Nutrition Quotient
Main Ingredients
Fiber, protein, iron- how are these macros and micros added to the bar? Artificially or naturally? What are the main sources of sugar?
Macronutrients
Fats, proteins, carbohydrates- is there a balance maintained between these food groups?
Price, packaging and shelf life were supporting parameters as well.

Foodrik Chocolate Nutri Snack Bar – Detailed Review
Price & Packaging
A 26-gram bar is priced at Rs 45/-. It has a shelf life of six months. The nutri bar is packed in a non-resealable wrapper.
Main Ingredients
Chana sattu 20%, brown rice syrup, rice crispies, milk compound 10% (sugar, vegetable fat, milk solids, cocoa solids, emulsifier E322, E476), almonds 7%, dates 7%, honey 7%, oats 7%, sugar, milk solids, malt extract powder, salt, rosemary extract, green tea extract, vitamin E.
Thumbs up for the use of comparatively nutritious sweeteners like dates, brown rice syrup, and honey. But it also uses sugar. We also liked how sattu is added in the largest proportion.
A 26-gram bar offers approximately 105 Kcal of which 2.4 grams are protein, 16.75 grams of carbohydrates (of which 6.5 grams is sugar), and 3.5 grams of fat.
Per 100 grams, this provides 9.8 mg of iron and 237.3 mg of calcium.
On comparing Foodrik to other energy bars available in the market, we found that Foodrik offers similar calories but is lower in fats and proteins.
Taste & Texture
The bar had a combined aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Visually, this was a rectangular chocolate-covered bar with almond bits and rice crispies.
Texture-wise, the bar was more chewy than crunchy. The rice crispies were ball-shaped and added crispiness. Similarly, the almonds also lent a subtle crunch to the bite. The combination of oats, honey, and dates bring chewiness to the bar.
All ingredients tasted fresh. The almonds weren’t rancid or bitter-tasting. Although there was a slight malty bitter aftertaste, it did not negatively impact the overall taste of the bar. The flavor of sattu is not as pronounced as we would have wanted it to be.
Owing to the fact that there are over three-four sweeteners used in this bar, the sweetness levels were a bit of concern for us. Thankfully this is a balanced bar with the characteristic caramel-like sweetness coming from dates. The flavor of chocolate is mild which the younger audience might want more of.
