We added the cake mix powder to a cup with 40 ml of milk. This cake premix powder was effortless to beat and mixed well without forming any lumps. 4. Taste Test
Straight out of the microwave, we noticed how the chocolate cake looked fluffier and had risen a little more as compared to the brownie mix from the Betty Crocker Mug Treats range. This chocolate cake was lovely and airy. It wasn’t dense or lumpy. We noticed that the chocolate cake has a mild eggy smell which might put off people who don’t like it in particular. The finished product without Hershey’s Syrup can feel a tad bit dry. The addition of Hershey’s chocolate syrup elevates the taste to a new level.

3. How We Made It
We followed the instructions given on the back of the box, which are easy to follow. To make the Betty Crocker brownie in a mug, we added the contents of one cake mix pouch with 20 ml (3 tablespoons) of milk and beat the mixture until a smooth batter was formed. These were the instructions provided on the back of the pack.
Based on the microwave you use, the temperature and timer settings may vary. However, this cake mix powder should take no more than a minute to bake to perfection. We left it for a few more seconds. Once the mug cooled down a bit, we added half a sachet of the syrup. We did not add walnuts or chocolate chips to the mix.

4. Taste Test
The Betty Crocker brownie mix looked decadent once it was cooked. This brownie in a mug was fudgy and had an intensely chocolaty taste. First, we tasted the brownie by itself, and later we added the Hershey’s syrup. It seeped through and added some sweetness and some more fudginess to the brownie. This brownie mix doesn’t contain nuts which can be added according to your preference. Unlike the chocolate cake in a mug, this did not smell or taste eggy at all.
Typically a brownie doesn’t fluff up as much as a regular cake which was also the case here. The chocolate cake was fluffier, and the brownie mix was more fudgy and chocolaty.
