What were we looking for? We were looking for a compact waffle iron that crisps up the edges and cooks the waffles well without sticking to the surface.

Boniry Mini Iron Waffle Maker – Detailed Review
Price And Packaging
We ordered the waffle maker from Amazon. It arrived in a carton. Inside this was a smaller carton which held the appliance. It was placed in a plastic pack with two thermocol pieces on the sides for support. There is a booklet inside which has all the instructions for care and use.
The product we received was damaged as the plates and plastic body were separated. We exchanged this product. The replacement also had a small crack on the base. Although it doesn’t hamper the functionality of the appliance, this is not something anyone would appreciate.
The MRP is mentioned on the box (Rs 1999/-), but we paid Rs 949/- for this waffle iron.
Design
Color – This comes in two colors – Aqua blue and Tangy red. We ordered the red one.
Shape and material – This is a round dome shaped outer body made of metal. There is a light indicator which will indicate when the appliance is ready for use/waffle is ready. After plugging in, when the green light turns off, you are ready to go. The base has 2 small anti-skid legs, is sturdy and does not wobble.
The plug – This has a two pin polarized plug. (16 A, 250 V). Some may need a multi-plug for this.
The cord – The cord is 24 inches approximately. The cord size is fairly decent if you place this on a kitchen countertop with a nearby plug point.
The plate – The round shaped waffle plate is approximately 10 inches. It is nonstick and PFOA free.
How It Works?
- Plug in the waffle maker.
- The green indicator light should be on. Once off, it means the waffle maker is ready for cooking.
- Then grease the plates and add the batter. We poured the batter in the center of the waffle maker and the batter was distributed evenly on its own.
- Close the lid.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, check for browning. Serve immediately.
Testing Usability + Our Experience
We used the waffle maker by using a homemade batter and the one by Wingreens Farms (The Impatient Baker). At a time, this makes a small waffle suitable for a single person.
The waffles we made had evenly browned, crisp edges and were soft on the inside. Within a span of 4 minutes, our waffles had cooked properly with no raw bits here and there. This has a perfect grid pattern.
As we had greased the plates before adding the batter, it was very easy to clean after it cooled down. Nothing stuck to the plates and all we needed was a soft, wet cloth.
We also used this for grilling slabs of paneer (and it worked well!).
Make sure you do not touch the body as it heats up and can burn your fingers.
