We reviewed the product based on two stages – dry inspection and taste test. As we opened the pack, we could sniff a strong aroma of masalas which was quite evident. Appearance-wise, these green peas were partially coated with the masalas. Due to the partial covering, we could clearly see glimpses of green peas.
The coating on the outer layer added a nice crunch to the overall taste of the green peas. The crunchy coating was due to the presence of corn starch which is ideally used to add crispness to packaged foods.
Now talking about the taste, this variant is a must try for all spice lovers. Full marks for the masala flavor. However, we also felt a slight hint of sweetness in these green peas.

Similar to the above variant, the Cornitos Pop n Crunch Wasabi flavor comes in a nitrogen flushed packaging. The MRP of the 150 gm pack is INR 110. It is resealable. The aroma of wasabi upon opening the pack was milder than we anticipated. When we read wasabi on a label, we immediately think of a highly pungent snack.
The peas have a whitish coating and are uniform in shape. Unlike the hot and spicy flavor, the coating covers the green peas completely. Traditional Wasabi is packed with a robust punch and is popular for its fiery nose-tingling property.
Taste-wise, the peas have a very mildly pungent wasabi flavor with slight undertones of sweetness. We expected these green peas to carry that spicy kick just like how a traditional wasabi flavor would taste.
