At Mishry, we tasted and reviewed Nestle’s Nesplus crunchy flakes. We reviewed this product on multiple parameters such as pricing, packaging, taste, texture, and ingredients.
1. Price
A 475-gram pack is priced at Rs 180/- which is similar to a lot of everyday cornflakes we usually buy.

2. Packaging
Like most cornflakes brands, Nestlé NesPlus Crunchy Flakes come in a box packing. The green and yellow box is very striking and grabs your attention.
3. Ingredients
We have noticed that in all Nestlè products, the list of ingredients and nutritional values are always very descriptive. Ingredients include degermed maize grits (64.7%), extruded whole maize flour, whole oat flour, sugar, salt, malt extract, glucose syrup. It also has vitamins and minerals which include hydrogen reduced iron, riboflavin, folic acid among others. This product contains gluten.
4. Appearance
The bright light corn-yellow color of the flakes is very appetizing. The flakes are lighter and thicker in comparison to your regular cornflakes. The disc-shaped flakes are flat, crisp, light. It’s a mix of big and small pieces.

5. Taste and Texture
We tasted the Nestlé NesPlus Crunchy Flakes in two ways – as it is and with cold skimmed milk (Nestlè Slim Milk, the yellow pack). The crunchy flakes are super crunchy and taste nice. The corn/maize flavor is very prominent but the overall taste matches closely with your regular cornflakes. The NesPlus Crunchy Flakes taste good dry and with cold milk too.
6. Sweetness
Now coming to the sweetness! Even though the pack mentions the addition of sugar and glucose syrup, these crunchy flakes have a very mild sweetness. For someone who likes to add sugar, honey or any other sweetener to their breakfast cereal you would want to add some here too. If you are adding sweet fruit or raisins to the bowl, you could give sugar a miss.
